  1. Kintsugi is the Japanese technique of mending broken pottery with gold. The philosophy is to embrace, accept and appreciate faults as a part of the object’s history instead of rejecting or hiding it. It is personally one of my favourite philosophies. And it was the first thing that came to my mind when I read these words. 🙂


    • What a beautiful analogy 🙂 thank you! I’ve always wanted a pot mended with that method, as a metaphor of that philosophy.

      To me, these words aren’t a philosophy or a conscious thought; they’re just a recognition of an existing emotion, which sought a vent. Love doesn’t need to work at mending. It doesn’t put in efforts. It heals effortlessly, inevitably, those who allow it in.
